Richard Mayhan is a former youth minister and Dallas Theological Seminary student now returned from a prodigal run of more than 27 years. He is a “wounded healer” to prodigals who have not yet returned and others with a broken heart, sharing lessons learned from his own crooked journey. Richard works primarily with online nonprofits and ministries, including these: The Potter’s Workshop (pastoral counselor, advocacy group for survivors of sexual trauma) MercyJunction.com (community outreach to the disenfranchised) Spreading Joy Corporation (a nonprofit organization for children in need) International Legacy Institute (apologetics bookseller) NormanGeisler.net (apologetics ministry) Busy Breathers Backpack (medical equipment retailer) Sim’s Press (local printer) Fellowship at Cross Creek (Branson church) ImperfectPastor.com He is the co-creator of Twitter Nightly Worship, or Tworship, which draws between 100-300 worshipful spirits from social media. These loyal followers click between 500 and 1200 times per night and represent a total reach of more than 93,000 tweeps (per TweetReach).
He is the founder of Tworship Indoors, a webcam-based Bible study and Tworship Talk, a webcam-based support group that meet weekly at 9pm EST, covering a wide variety of topics and reaching as many as 93,332 once per week. Richard has several radio interviews in support of Tworship.Richard founded a support group for survivors of emotional trauma using techniques learned from his own journey.
